Nous avons remarqueé que vous avez décidé de fermer le forum; il est toujours un dommage d'abandonner un travail bien fait, mais nous savons le problèmes de mantenir en vie un forum et nous sommes très desolés pour votre choix. Notre forum en ce moment va bien et vous savez que nous aimons d'avoir contacts actifs internationaux.
Nous vous proposons une fusion: nous transférions vos règlements sur notre forum, en les adaptant si nécessaire. Votre staff aurais la modération de la section international (où vous etes libres d'écrire en français). Nous nous prendrions soin du Role Play, en cherchant de le mantenir actif.

Hey guys, I see you want to leave your board on its own... why don't you join us instead? You know, we have that international section that's not really been used for a while. We can transfer your role-play over there and keep it active as long as you're busy. We'll gain users, plus finally have some actual foreigners on the board, and you'll know you'll still have someone there when you decide to come back working on your game.

Nous ne supprimons pas encore TLA, le travail n'est donc pas perdu. Nous n'avons juste pas les personnes pour le faire fonctionner correctement, c'est pourquoi nous avons décidé de le fermer jusqu'à nouvel ordre.

it's nice of you to take care of our future, I thank you for your kindness. We are not considering the suppression of this forum as an option, for now at least. We just haven't the time to manage our members, especially the new ones. To maintain the RP, it is essential to know the future of it (which is already partially planned), so you can't manage it without us.
However, we can encourage our visitors to take a look at your board. The ideal would be to complete the first post of this topic with a quick presentation of your board and a list of your staff, and where they can RP. We"ll provide here the link to this topic, it'll be more simple for the visitors.

I think that would be easier if they keep on with the games and the rules they already use here than to start over again.

The story is based on several plots in three eras of the world of the Avatar. We're actyally developing the creation of the four Nations, and the birth of the cycle of the Avatar. The world as a lot of deviant bending not based on the elements. We also use an ancient civilisation (which have been developed in another era) to explain how the Avatar will born, and why. It'd be very complicated to expose the whole thing.
Plus, our active members are afk, like us.
You won't gain anything in trying to transpose our RP system.

Our users are currently unavailable (it's why we are closing the forum). You'll have our visitors or our members who are back and will find our board inactive.

Please don't. We need to warn our contributors before giving the copyright of anything. And for now, we are not sure that TLA will stop definitively.

Wouldn't it be better if them and you are free to play as they wish? Even if TLA comes back a day, they can continue to play on your board as well.

No. The matter is that we do not want to transfer anything. That's all. There's no need to discuss it for hours. We do not want to merge with you.

Our users, for what's left of them really, will do whatever they want. Some will maybe go on writing here. Some may join our French partner, Avatar Realms. Some may be interested in your project, depending on what you have to offer. And others may simply go on with their lives. There's nothing more to it.

Translating and adapting our own system is a lot more work, and I don't think it's worth it either. Wu already explained, it's far more complete and complex than you can imagine.

totally agree. We're doing the translation for our partners from the German forum: they don't get Italian and they'll have to translate the English rules to their mothertongue.

If you meant the rules of the Synopsis, I am the main conceptor, but i owe ideas and feedback to a bunch of active members. We construct our rules together, consulting the members each time we can. So for the synopsis, Jerome, Kestrel, Maia, Ryuji, Ban Gio, Tao, Argyle, Rielde are the main contributors (and i omit minor and occasional participations)

If some parts interest you, you can adapt them to create your own system. Inspiration is better than copy, isn't it?
Plus, as we said, this system may be used again in the future. TLA is not ready for total oblivion.

That's precisely what I was up to. We already have our system, but would take a lot of time to translate it to French, expecially considering that only a few users speak it well enough. That's why I was thinking about using your rules. Still, our forum doesn't allow us those random generated values part, so we'll have to modify your fighting system. Plus your rules are developed to run an entire world, we won't ever have enough users to make that work, so we'll adapt to suit one or two locations, that could be even be integrated to your game once you come back. Does it sound better now that you understand?

I still don't understand what you would gain from it, apart from working on a French base. Which sounds like what you want, in the end.

I don't see the point of making such a tricky thing. Moreover, the french members registered will be set apart from yours, using a different system. And what is the point of being in a foreign country if you continue to live as if you were in your own house? It just seems absurd to me.
The people who comes onto your board must discover your fanbase, share your games and way of doing. If not, how could they closer to you all?
Integration is the solution. Not pasting over like a tumor.

You should integrate them into a quarter of one of your cities (in RP, they will also be considered as strangers). It could be fun.
It will be much more productive than import a bruised part of our structure.

We know you frenchies have problem dealing with foreign environments and languages. We don't. Actually, we like it. My guys will have the chance to meet actual foreigners without moving from our board... if playing in French makes you more confortable we can do that. It's an unique opportunity to improve our language skills while playing.

we can do that even using your rules. I know what I'm doing. The thing I don't get is why is it so hard to you to let someone else play with your rules. As I see it you have a dying forum... if it's hard to keep it now, won't be any better in the future. You'll loose users (I bet they won't stay here playing while the admins mind their own business). Even if you decide to come back you'll find this board desert, as long as noone takes care of your users and the game active. We are willing to do that. If your forum dies all of your work will die with it, if you let us take it we will give you the credit, all of our players will know your work and it will be put at use. And you call this a tumor? I'd be grateful.

If they lost interest to play here, they definitely won't come to play the same thing on foreign grounds. It's that simple.

I agree with Wu. The best thing you can offer to actually catch their interest is a new playground, not an import of ours.

I'm not afraid of losing users. We already did. If we ever decide to try again, the main aim can't be to get them back, it will be to catch a new audience. That's how it works. We know we would have to rebuild a community, whatever we do.

My roleplay doesn't have any users' disappearance nor quality level problem and it's active since 2008, pardon me if I think I can do better than you can imagine. Then again: we'd like to give French users something familiar to play with, but we don't need it. So, if it's so hard for you to lend us a few threads we still think it's a waste of resources, but we won't die. Just tell your users we're working on an international roleplay: we're looking for someone who can help us translating the rules from English to French and/or revise our French threads. Then leave us a way to keep you up to date to our game progresses and to advert it as soon as we're ready to start. Thanks.

Never said you did. I'm confident you don't. All I'm saying is that it wouldn't work, that's all. I know I may have sounded a little aggressive, but I know the little we have left and I know you will not gain anything from what we have here. They will not be interested.

here's the point. I don't agree, as for my experience sometimes the smallest change can do wonders, and I believe I know what to change. Think about it before starting over with a completely different project.
